The 2014 NBA season has come to an end and the San Antonio Spurs are officially the last team standing. From the first day of the season, or even preseason for that matter, it was no secret that the Spurs were gunning for a rematch of the 2013 Finals where they infamously crumbled in game six and went on to lose the series to the Heat. Last night their season long goal came to fruition as they dominated the Heat yet again on their way to their 5th franchise championship via a 104 - 87 victory in the 5th and final game of the series. Kawhi Leonard was named series MVP after shooting 61.2%
from the field and 57.9% from 3-point range. He was the team's second-leading scorer at 17.8 points per game and third-leading rebounding at 8.0 rebounds per game. Leonard stated after the game “Right now it’s just surreal to me. I had a great group of guys behind me, just pushing me, just wanting me to just be aggressive in the game … "
